MAD is featured in the exhibition, Heart-Made, The Cutting-Edge of Chinese Contemporary Architecture in Brussels. The exhibition was curated by Fang Zhenning and CIVA (International Center for Urbanism, Architecture and Landscape), Belgium.

Ma attended the opening ceremony and gave a lecture at CIVA. The Heart-Made exhibition highlights the emergence of a Chinese architectural identity rather than a distinct style of Chinese architecture separated from major contemporary movements. Together with the publication, the exhibition marks a turning point in the history of Chinese architecture.

Heart-Made is part of Europalia-China, a one year cultural festival in Brussels.
