On May 18th, Ma Yansong delivered a keynote speech in "the 10th World Summit on Innovation and Entrepreneurship" in United Nations General Assembly. As the first Chinese architect to present in the summit, Ma Yansong introduced MAD's design practice and his oriental-philosophy-inspired design philosophy: to create a new balance among society, the city and the environment through new forms of architecture.

"The 10th World Summit on Innovation and Entrepreneurship" is co-hosted by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development(UNCTAD). With "new frontiers" as main theme this year, the forum invites global icons from various industries to share their stories and perspectives on "emotional, functional and sustainable to inspire, pioneer and spread new frontiers."

Ma Yansong was awarded "The World's Most Innovative People Award" the same day following his keynote speech.
