On July 21st, 2013, Ma Yansong attended the Fangsuo Commune Architecture week in Guangzhou and shared his ideas about “Shanshui City” in a lecture. Through several MAD projects, Ma illustrated his understanding of the “Shanshui City”. The future city is based on human spirit and cultural values, combining the convenience found within the modern city with the eastern idyllic pursuit for nature.
