Recently Ma spoke at Abitare's feature architect interview. The interview explored architectonic projects and how Ma works between the natural environment and the urban realm. In the interview Ma discussed his personal view of an architecture inspired by the natural world, describing the controversial relation between urbanization and non-anthropomorphized environment: “is it possible to introduce in the urban fabric a ‘natural feeling’?” and “is it possible to transfer a urban environment into the nature without destroying it?”
