2014 The 6th MAD Travel Fellowship Winners Announced

MAD founding principal Ma Yansong started the annual "Travel Fellowship" in 2009 with the mission to provide funds to mainland Chinese students majoring in Architecture to complete an overseas architecture themed travel, as well as an opportunity to conduct their academic research. Since its inception, the Travel Fellowship has aided 25 students on their educational travel overseas.

MAD believes traveling is one of the most important ways for architects to learn. Architects can often be inspired by interacting with architectural spaces, helping them with different ideas and finding their inner self. Even creative design needs to fit native culture. That’s what MAD is working hard on, and also the message we hope to convey to the next generation of architects.

This year the 6th "Travel Fellowship" received over 100 applications from students of different universities. Selected candidates will be funded for their 10-14 days travel, as well as be invited to present their travel report in MAD.
