A mixture of an architecture model and a landscape installation, the exhibited artwork "Silhouette Shanshui" is inspired by MAD’s latest project ‘Nanjing Zendai Himalayas Center’.

“Nanjing Zendai Himalayas Center” is MAD’s latest practice on the design concept “Shanshui City.” At the center of the site is a community of low-rise buildings embraced by high-rise towers around the perimeter, and is connected with footbridges nestled with the landscape. At the heart of the project is this poetic connection of footbridges, artificial hills and flowing water.

While the project just started construction, the artwork provides visitors an opportunity to feel and experience “Shanshui,” the artistic conception based on the traditional Chinese garden.
