Hongluo Clubhouse has been nominated for the Brit Insurance Design Awards, held by the Design Museum, London.

The Hongluo Clubhouse project was one of 100 designs nominated by a team of internationally respected design experts, including Nick Knight, Phillip Rode and Wayne Hemingway. The Chinese expert on the panel, Ou Ning, nominated 15 designs from China: Ma Yansong was one of only three shortlisted by the panel.

Hongluo Clubhouse was nominated within the architecture category, alongside such works as Thomas Heatherwick's East Beach Cafe, SANAA's New Museum in New York, and Zaha Hadid's Nordpark Cable Railway in Austria. The eventual winner was Herzog and de Meuron's Birds Nest stadium in Beijing.
